As you can probably tell by my blog, music is a HUGE part of my life, it is one thing I could not live without.
In my opinion, the best way to experience music fully is live. I have been to so many concerts and the rush of adrenaline you get just keeps you going for ages.
I went to see Mika in November and it was an amazing gig, so much so I am seeing him again in February, in London.
But, the point is, that it isn't just the music at the gigs which gives you that buzz, its the atmosphere as well. The majority of the audience enjoy listening to the singer/band and everyone joins in with the well-known songs. It is a whole new world which if you have not experienced then you are missing out big time.
Next year however, I will be trying a whole new type of live music, the weekend long, camping extravaganza which is the Isle of Wight festival. This will be my first time and will be a completely experience to the usual concerts I have been to and I have been told it isn't anything like normal concerts where only a few bands/singers perform on one night.

There have already been many announcements of acts to play at next year's festival including; Headliners; The Police, The Sex Pistols and Kaiser Chiefs and support acts; Kate Nash, Lily Allen, The Kooks, The Hoosiers,James, K T Tunstall and other big acts still to be confirmed (although I have heard from sources, Mika is rumoured to be playing!)
I have been to many different types of gigs; big venues, intimate, small venues, outside and inside gigs but I have never been to a weekend long music festival so this will be completely new to me and I cannot wait!
